ROSARY SUNDAY 2008
PHOENIX, ARIZONA
Knights of Columbus
How to pray the rosary
Location of Phoenix Convention Center

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a 4 ft. x 6 ft. exact photographic replica of the original miraculous image in Mexico.  It is a gift from the Bishops of Mexico to the Catholics of the United States for the purpose of traveling to end abortion and the culture of death, to melt hearts and bring about conversions.

Be sure to take this opportunity to pay honor to Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of our Diocese.  We need her  powerful intercession. more.

Many tears have appeared on images of our Lady of Guadalupe--tears of water, oil, and blood.  Pope John Paul II said, "...they testify to the presence of the Mother in the Church and in the world.  A mother weeps when she sees her children threatened by evil, be it spiritual or physical.

The Parade will end  at the Convention Center at approximately
12:30.  Matachines will dance in the downstairs Lobby until 1:00 p.m.

At 1:00 p.m., The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be processed into Hall to begin our Rosary Sunday celebration honoring Our Lady, Queen of All Saints.

The Blessing Procession

BLESSING PROCESSION  includes: Families with roses, National
Catholic Organizations, Religious Education Programs, Confirmation
Classes, Youth Groups, Diocesan Organizations, Prayer Groups, and
Ethnic Groups.  All the organizations throughout the diocese are
invited to be represented in the Blessing Procession.  As the procession
passes by the Bishop, he blesses them and the work that they do.

Families Representing Parishes

Each parish is invited to select a family to represent its parish in
the blessing procession. The family is to bring a red rose. Families with
the Roses are to report to the same table as groups in the procession. As
in the past, families with roses will have separate seating. We would
like a family member to contact Donna so we can explain to them what is
required. We will be sending additional information to the families with
roses.  Click here to see reservation forms to print and mail.

TO MAKE PROCESSION GO SMOOTHLY

To make the Procession go smoothly and to assure the timing the following
is necessary:

1.All groups participating must be pre-registered (see form below).
2.All participants must arrive at Rosary Sunday between 11:00 A.M. and
1:00 P.M.
3.A person representing the group must check-in to obtain procession
pass with number from the Procession Officials.

4.Seats for group can then be reserved.  Do not reserve any more seats
than necessary for your group.

5.Those riding busses, due to logistics, may not participate in the
procession; you need to sit with your bus group.

6.Follow the instructions of Donna, the Procession coordinator.
